PORTFOLIO

Youtube Background

Youtube Red was recently launched which added a lot of functionality to the youtube mobile app which most of us always wanted for free and not pay $10 a month. So I built something on similar grounds, pretty simple in terms of usage but with audio playing in background when the app is not being used. This is a feature I personally wanted from YouTube for ages now, so I hacked a a way around.

Weather Forecast Android

This is a mobile version of a weather forecast application. Given an address inside of the United States it finds and shows the location and shows the weather conditions at that moment, hourly predictions and for the next week. This was created as a part of CSCI 571: Web Technologies Course at University of Southern California.

A crowd-sourced greivance reporting application

This was developed as a part of my final semester project at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham which my teammates. My contribution was on building a RESTful API using Node.JS which would help people merge this into different types of application - both reporting and analytics on the data. The work was published in a springer journal.

InPLaCE RFID

Indoor Path Loss translation for object localization in Cluttered Environments was my contribution to the Amrita Multi-Dimensional Data Analytics Lab. We used data analytics on live data got from passive RFID tags to analyze loss of frequency due to static objects. We used used the inferences of the experiments to build a translational model, whereby we analyze the frequency loss and correct the RSSi got from the RFID tags. This leads to better distance estimation of the tag from the antenna. The work was presented at the 10th International Conference IEEE ISSNIP 2015, Singapore.
